Joy's Grand Adventure
Having set a record for the first ever album and novel combination to be released in Australia by a Reuben, which can be verified by a quick Google search but really doesn't need to be, Joy's Grand Adventure has now been released!
A exploration of the origins of both joy and hope, the story follows Joy Summerfield from her home in council flats, on a journey by flying rowboat to Frieland, a land floating impossibly in the skies where each town hosts a solution to the question of what makes someone truly happy.
Along with her best friend, Fear, Joy will need to navigate poor advice, desperate materialism, thieves, salespeople, love and loss, and giant owls to discover what, and who, Joy really is.

Reuben has been playing music since he was 16 and crashed a quad bike, using piano to for rehabilitation. Maybe it's the musical gene or the chronic traumatic encephalopathy, but he's never been able to stop.
Having endeavoured to finish writing a novel for more than 20 years, Joy's Grand Adventure is the first project to truly see the light of day.
He hopes it won't be the last, but writing is hard.
Tristan has spent thirty years developing his incredible vocals, twenty years as a singer-songwriter, and six years doing his level best to turn himself into a living version of Grug.
