Well, it's 1am right after the October long weekend which I believe is supposed to be called Labour Day but, as I understand it, it's different here in Australia.
The first thing you should know is that WordPress is not as intuitive as it makes out to be. But, on the other hand, it's substantially cheaper than the more intuitive platforms, and as they say, you pay for convenience.
What's hilarious to me is the number of years I spent from the late 90s to early 2010s learning HTML and playing around in Dreamweaver, all for that all to be essentially rendered useless by the passage of time.
Now, there may come a day where I update this blog and there may even come a day where someone reads it voluntarily. Stranger things have happened. But I doubt that the thoughts of an obscure mid-40s bloke from Australia are going to set the world on fire, and the window to become the next JK Rowling has probably been missed, which means I'll never truly know what it's like to inspire someone to get a tattoo they will subsequently regret when the tide of social opinion shifts.
Accordingly, I'm going to make the smart decision and invest in sleep, until such time as I no longer need a day job by virtue of amazing writing success, fraudulent Worker's Compensation case, lottery wins, or the complete collapse of society as a whole and its financial institutions in particular.
